59 | Mission Minded Growth: Building Disciples

In this episode we are reminded that spiritual growth can take place every single day, especially when we acknowledge that God is in control and can use every single circumstance as an opportunity to bring HIM glory. As his children we are set apart from the world, and as uncomfortable as that may seem for US day in and day out, it is because we are set apart - that God is able to receive the GLORY HE deserves, and we can SHINE the spotlight on His goodness, grace, and mercy in the world we live. What a blessing it is to KNOW, SHARE, and OVERFLOW with the LOVE and GRACE of JESUS today. 58 | He Gives Us GRACE to Grow Through It!

In this episode, Luke Shamblin and Mikayla Blanco, join us at the table to share their perspective as grandchildren, and growing through the difficult season of the loss of their grandfather, while focusing and finishing their senior year of college strong. God's timing is so perfect, and the fact that God would allow them both to be present in this season for Mimi, is so special to our family, and so uniquely pivotal in this season as they work towards a career in physical therapy. 
Luke and Mikayla are both Seniors at Charleston Southern University, both studying Kinesiology, and both very involved in the club pickleball team that they started at CSU. These two college students aren't just cousins, but great friends, and accountability partners. We are so glad to have them join us at the table today.

57 | Growing Through Grief

In this episode, our mom, Kathy Corless joins us at the table to share how this season of grief and loss in her life has been hard, but also an opportunity to keep trusting in a faithful God that is with us in hard seasons, and holds us tight as we cling to Him. 
We really believe that those things that we are going through have the real possibility of being the best experiences that God can use to build character and give us hope - so that when we look back - we haven't just gone through hard stuff, but we have actually grown through the experiences.

In this episode, Brandon Joy "B-Joy", a Word of Life Missionary to New York City and the World, shares his transformative testimony of how God rescued him from a life of drugs and addiction. Today he celebrates 4 years of sobriety, is walking closely with the Lord, and is following a call on his life to full time ministry. 54 | A Doctor's Care: A Grateful Patient

For many of you, you’ve walked with us on this journey from the beginning and you have followed Kelley's journey with Multiple Sclerosis and tremors. Today's episode is a very exciting one because we have one of her lead Neurologists joining us to better understand what is happening in the brain of an MS patient with tremors and how each of us can improve mental health as we contemplate our own thoughts and beliefs. Gonzalo J. Revuelta, DO, MSc, FANA, is associate professor of neurology and medical director of the deep brain stimulation program at MUSC. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey -- School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in neurology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. After residency, he completed fellowship training in movement disorders and deep brain stimulation at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He is a member of the International Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society, the American Neurological Association, the Parkinson Study Group, the Huntington Study Group and the Dystonia Coalition. He is also an elected fellow of the American Neurological Association. Dr. Revuelta's NIH funded research program focuses on the understanding of the pathophysiology freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease and essential tremor, and the development of clinical trials for these conditions using neuromodulation therapies. He is involved in the treatment of patients with all types of movement disorders including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, Huntington's disease, Tourette's syndrome, tremors and ataxias.

50 | Prayer Changes Everything

As we close out this season on our study of Ephesians chapter 6, and what it means to WALK in the full Armor of God, we find ourselves in a place of needing God's power and protection more than ever, through prayer.
 
Ephesians 6 :18 says "Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep praying for all the saints."
 
This week, our earthly Father, Dave Corless, finished his race here on earth, and he met our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ face to face. What a testimony it has been in our lives this week, knowing that the body of Christ, (our family and friends) have covered us in prayer. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged, and lifted our family up before the throne room of heaven. We want to publicly say THANK YOU, we know first hand that prayer truly changes everything!!  You're a GOOD GOOD FATHER!!
